Description

  • When oil enters the system, it will lead to many problems that seriously affect the performance of the refrigerating system such as: lack of compressor lubricating oil, reduced efficiency of condenser/evaporator heat exchanger, causing power loss. , clogged filter...
  • Therefore, it is designed to install an oil separator right behind the compressor push head to recover the oil carried by the refrigerant flow, ensuring stable performance for the system.

Working principle

  • Similar to the liquid separator, the oil separator also works on the principle of sudden decrease in kinetic energy by reducing the velocity of the refrigerant flow to (0.5 ~ 1 m/s). The mixture of gas and oil after entering the tank will reduce speed, lose kinetic energy and fall to the bottom of the tank, the gas in the form of vapor above will be put into the condenser for cooling. After the oil is deposited at the bottom, it will be recovered to the oil tank or refined and returned directly to the compressor.
