Description

  • The overflow tank is used to maintain a stable low-pressure liquid supply to the evaporator to meet the required volume of the load.
  • In addition, the overflow tank is also responsible for separating liquid for the suction vapor to the compressor.
  • Designed to be horizontal or vertical.

Working principle

  • The overflow tank is used in liquid flooded throttling refrigeration systems. After throttling, cold gas is supplied to the overflow tank, thanks to the hydrostatic head of liquid gas entering the indoor unit to perform heat exchange. After evaporation, the refrigerant vapor is returned to the overflow tank to separate the liquid for the suction vapor to the compressor, preventing hydraulic shock. The tank is equipped with a float valve to control the level of liquid gas contained in the tank.
